Traffic Records Section

Traffic Records Section is mandated by state statute to maintain a statistical database of all reported motor vehicle crashes in Arizona. Led by Jim Williams, this section performs the following tasks:

• Enters all reported motor vehicle crashes into a uniform statewide database

• Performs analysis of crash statistics

• Provides data to state and local authorities for location studies

• Responds to data requests from civic and private groups

• Publishes an annual summary of statewide crash facts
