Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has served as a funding and advisory partner in the State of Arizona throughout ITS planning and deployment spanning throughout the 80's, 90's and into the 21st century. They are partners in AZTech, the Arizona E-VII Initiative, this Statewide ITS Architecture and federally funded transportation related projects in the State of Arizona.
