SRTS FTP Site

The Transportation Enhancement (TE) FTP site is designed for customers to upload files that would otherwise be too large to send by email. With the correct logon information, users can upload large documents from their computer whether at home or consultant’s office.

Accessing the FTP Site:

To logon, please do the following steps:

  • Please call the TE Project Manager (from the Contact List download) for the user name and password.
  • On your PC, open Windows Explorer.

    For Windows XP: Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer
    For Vista and Windows 7: Start > All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer

    Do not use Internet Explorer browser.

  • Enter this complete address in the address bar of Windows Explorer: ftp://ftp.azdot.gov
  • You will be prompted to logon to the site with the user name and password.
  • After logging on, you will see a window with folders. Open the folder 'Transportation Enhancement'.
  • Upload or download your file(s) to or from the 'Transportation Enhancement' folder.
  • Contact the TE Project Manager by phone or email that the file(s) has been uploaded.
  • Happy FTP-ing!

 

Mac OS X 

  • Please call the TE Project Manager (from the Contact List download) for the user name and password.
  • An FTP client application will be required to access the FTP. The open source client Filezilla (which is freeware) will be used as an example on this Web page.
  • Download and install Filezilla for Mac OS X. Launch the application.
  • Near the top of the Filezilla window, there are three fields to input: Host, Username, and Password. For the Host field, enter ftp.azdot.gov. Enter the Username and Password obtained from the TE Project Manager. After entering the above, click the button Quickconnect.
  • Inside the Filezilla window, there are two columns: Local site and Remote Site. The Local site lists the files stored on your computer's hard drive. The Remote site lists the files on the FTP site.

  • In the Remote site column, you will see a window with folders. Open the folder 'Transportation Enhancement'.
  • To upload, click and drag the file(s) from the Local site column to the Remote site column. To download from the FTP to your computer, you do the reverse.
  • Contact the TE Project Manager by phone or email for any file(s) that has been uploaded.

Troubleshooting 

If you are having difficulty logging onto the FTP site:

  • Reread the instructions carefully to make sure all steps have been followed.
  • If logon difficulty persists, call the ADOT Help Desk at 602.712.7249.
