Interstate 10 Rest Area at Bouse Wash to close for restoration

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate facilities

The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a project to restore the Bouse Wash Rest Area on Interstate 10 east of Quartzsite beginning Monday, March 11. The project consists of replacing aged plumbing, updating restroom facilities and improving the ramadas.

The rest area will be closed until summer 2013.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate facilities. View a map of state rest areas.
