Westbound Interstate 8 on-ramp at Araby Road temporarily closed tomorrow

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time

February 13, 2013

The Arizona Department of Transportation will be repairing guardrail along the westbound Interstate 8 on-ramp at Araby Road Thursday, February 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. To maintain a safe work zone, maintenance crews will temporarily close the ramp while the work is completed.

Detour signs and message boards will be in place to inform drivers of restrictions. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
