The following restrictions will be in effect from 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov.15, to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, on Interstate 10 as crews work to complete the tie-in connections to existing pavement at Miracle Mile and Ruthrauff Road, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation:
- Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane between Sunset Road and Miracle Mile.
- The eastbound I-10 entrance ramp at Ruthrauff Road will be closed.
The work is part of the Interstate 10 widening project from Ruthrauff Road to Prince Road.
In addition:
- The Prince Road traffic interchange at I-10 and the eastbound and westbound I-10 entrance and exit ramps remain closed through late 2013.
- The right lane of the westbound I-10 frontage road is closed south of Miracle Mile to Freeway Industrial Loop through late 2013.
- Runway Drive at Prince Road was closed on Wednesday, Oct. 31, and will remain closed for approximately 45 days.
- Prince Road at I-10 is closed to vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists.
- The eastbound I-10 frontage road will remain closed at Prince Road. Traffic is reduced to one lane and detoured at Commerce Drive to Fort Lowell Road and back onto the eastbound frontage road, north of Miracle Mile.
- The eastbound I-10 frontage road sections between Commerce Drive north of Prince Road and Fort Lowell Road south of Prince Road are two-way roads through spring 2013.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through or near work zones with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
