Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
ADOT Quantlist Application

Note: The Quantlist system requires the user to have a RACF (ADOT individual computer user’s unique identification number), and ADOT Intranet access. Without them, some of the hyperlinks provided below will not be active

1.
Question: How can I get the ADOT Quantlist Application software installed on my computer / toughbook?

Answer: You will have to take and successfully pass the Online Quantlist for Inspectors training class which is available on ADOT Intranet only. To install the Quantlist program / icon, go to the web application at: http://adotnet/divisions/itd/checklist/ then click on the link on the right side of the page: Click here to install -- Follow instructions. Alternatively, after successfully completing the training call the Help Desk 602.712.7249 or send an email to open a heat ticket to get the software installed.

2.
Question: I have successfully completed the Online Quantlist for Inspectors Training and have the software installed, but I don’t have permissions to use the program

Answer: Once the software is installed on your laptop / toughbook you will have to call or email the Quantlist Administrator to be placed on the Quantlist Authorized Users List. Call or email Robert Wade at 602.712.4875.

3.
Question: I have the software installed on my computer with the quantlist icon on my desktop, but when I try to open the application, the Home Page appears but the application will not open.

Answer: Possible reasons why it will not open:

a. The inspector needs to be placed on the Authorized Users List. Call or email the Quantlist Administrator

b. An ITG tech with administrative rights might have to open the application “Off-Line” first, before the application will work for the user.

c. The inspector has changed Orgs and has a different RACF number; he has to be placed on the Authorized Users List with the new RACF number. Call or email the Quantlist Administrator

4. Question: Where can I get a copy of the most current Quantlist Construction Bulletin?
Answer: The web address is: http://www.azdot.gov/Highways/ConstGrp/Value_Quality/Bulletins.asp

5. Question: Can the quantlists attributes be changed to fit your specific project?

Answer: Each Quantlist has one “OTHER” attribute which can be used to meet specific needs. If an attribute does not apply, mark it “NA” and that attribute will not be used in calculating the initial or final value.

6. Question: How can I get an older version of a quantlist?

Answer: In the “Select Quantlist” window, select the Radio Button that reads: “Use This Version”. If available, the older versions can now be selected.

7. Question: Where can I view the inspectors completed quantlists?

Answer: If you have access to ADOT Intranet, go to http://adotnet/divisions/itd/checklist/ and click on Projects, then click on “View Inspections.”

8.
Question: One of my inspectors has been completing quantlists, but none of his completed quantlists are on the View Inspections site.

Answer: Most probable cause; the Inspector has not been uploading the quantlists to the data base.

9. Question: Where can I get additional information?
Answer: The Construction Manual, 105.14, Construction Inspection Quantlists.
