ADOT Construction Manual Navigation & Searching

The online Construction Manual reflects each of the thirteen manual chapters and allows you to select a specific section within each chapter. Each chapter section includes an interactive index where you can select a subsection to view.
Highlighted Text Areas
have been provided to assist users in identifying changes reflected since the last revision of the applicable Construction Manual chapter. When substantial changes have been made to a chapter, the header is changed to the month and year of the revision.

Clicking on the binoculars (Find) button in the Adobe Reader toolbar at the top of the window, a popup screen appears where keywords can be entered.

After selecting the 'Search' button, another screen appears that indicates the number of instances (in that particular section) where the word or phrase is found.

The 'Results' window below this contains the locations in the sections where the search criteria are located.

Clicking on each 'Result' line will take you directly to that page.

Holding the mouse over the icon at the front of the phrase provides information on what page it appears on.

If another search is desired in the same section, select 'New Search'. You can search by chapter and chapter section.
