SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT-SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

The proposed project is located in the Tucson District, Safford District and south half of the Globe District, which are within Gila, Pinal, Pima, Santa Cruz, Graham, Greenlee, and Cochise Counties. A portion of this project is located in Tonto National Forest and Coronado National Forest and also within the Ak-Chin and Gila River Indian Communities. The work consists primarily of removing and disposing of existing pedestrian signal modules from their housing, and supplying and installing new countdown pedestrian modules. Additional work will include removing and replacing pedestrian crossing signs on existing poles.
