CAPACITY ADDITIONS-MAJOR WIDENING

The proposed project is located in Maricopa County within the Cities of Phoenix and Glendale on US 60. The project begins at Milepost 152.65 near 71st Avenue and extends southeast to Milepost 161.99 for a total distance of approximately 9.3 miles. The proposed work consists of removing driveways, constructing new right turn lanes and sidewalk at various locations along the length of project and pavement rehabilitation. The pavement rehabilitation work consists of milling and replacing AC, fog and blotter and removing and reconstructing portions of roadway. Additional work includes raising manholes and valve boxes to grade, constructing screen walls and fencing, storm drain installation for new roadway, lighting, landscaping, traffic signal modifications, pavement striping and other related work.
