Naming Conventions

 

Listed below is an example of the naming conventions used by the ADOT Bridge Group in the preparation of their project documents.

Example - s2020ad2.dgn

• First Entry          s (Representing Structure)
• Second Entry      2020 (Structure Number)
• Third Entry         ad2 (Abutment Detail Sheet Number 2)
• Fourth Entry       .dgn (Design File Extension)

• The First Entry must be the letter 's'.
• The Second Entry must be the four digit structure number.
• The Third Entry is the abbreviated type of sheet.
• The Fourth Entry is the design file extension.
