Partnering leads to excellence
Seven teams honored at Annual Partnering Awards event
The annual Transportation Award for Partnering Excellence ceremony honors partnership teams that “demonstrate a high degree of achievement through their practice and application of the partnering principles and processes.” The Partnering event theme "Partnering – Building Solutions Together” brought together leaders from agencies, industry and government that promote efforts to develop and enhance positive working relationships which will carry us through these tough economic times and to positively improve future transportation efforts statewide.
The seven winning teams in the program’s fourth year received their awards at a December 2 luncheon at the Glendale Civic Center. More than 300 guests attended the event, which featured presentations by the honorees and a keynote speech by former US Secretary of Transportation and former ADOT Director Mary Peters. She praised the partnering practices, saying they have “yielded substantive and quantitative results and put a whole lot of lawyers out of work.”
The event was co-sponsored by ADOT, the Arizona Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC), and American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona.(ACEC)
Thank you for making “Partnering” a success in Arizona!
