Conducting a Partnering Workshop

(Two-Day Class) A Partnering workshop is a collaboration between all participants connected to a partnership. A partnership is defined as a joint effort (may include project, program, product or service) of collaborative teamwork to achieve measurable results through agreements and productive working relationships. This class will teach those familiar with partnering how to facilitate, structure and coach a partnering workshop.

Course Content:

  • Steps to planning a partnering workshop
  • Components of the partnering workshop:
    • Partnership Overview/Housekeeping
    • Introductions/Roles/Agenda/Groundrules
    • Partnering Overview, Goals and Charter
      Evaluation, Weekly Meetings & Closing/Feedback
  • Administrative process (Participant Feedback, Facilitator Feedback, Report)
  • Case study/roles/practice assignments/ feedback process/practice preparation
  • Practicum, using a partnering case study and receiving feedback on their facilitation practice

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this class, participants will be able to:

  1. Plan a partnering workshop
  2. List the components of a partnering workshop
  3. Using a checklist, be able to organize and administer a partnering workshop
  4. Conduct a partnering workshop

Prerequisites:

  • Partnering Workshop experience
  • Intention and approval to facilitate partnering workshops
  • Completion of 2 day Facilitator Skills Course or equivalent
