PHOENIX —The Arizona Department of Transportation has rescheduled paving work at the Sun Valley Parkway and Wintersburg Road traffic interchanges off Interstate 10 to Sunday, March 24 instead of Saturday, March 23. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
What to expect during paving:
- Crews are scheduled to pave both Sun Valley Parkway and Wintersburg Road between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.
- Brief intermittent ramp closures will take place during work hours.
- Drivers will be directed to use the next available exit.
- Law enforcement will be on-site to direct traffic and monitor speeds.
Crews will continue to put the finishing touches on this paving project through April 2013.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
