Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Feb. 15-18):
I-10 restricted Friday night near Estrella Parkway, Grand Avenue narrowed near 75th Avenue

PHOENIX – Although no major closures are scheduled along Phoenix-area freeways this weekend, overnight lane restrictions are planned along Interstate 10 in the West Valley, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Ongoing improvement work also will narrow Grand Avenue (US 60) near 75th Avenue in Peoria.

Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and to consider alternate routes while the following improvement work is taking place:

Interstate 10 on- and off-ramps at 83rd Avenue closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Feb. 18) for pavement improvements. 83rd Avenue narrowed to one lane in each direction at Intestate 10. DETOUR: Drivers can use 91st or 75th avenues to access Interstate 10.

Interstate 10 narrowed to one lane eastbound and two lanes westbound between Estrella Parkway and Citrus Road from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Saturday (Feb.16) for ongoing construction of the future I-10/Loop 303 traffic interchange. On-and off- ramps in the area will remain open. DETOUR: Please be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zones.

Eastbound US 60 (Grand Avenue) narrowed to one lane between 75th and 71st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 16) for barrier wall maintenance. Grand Avenue also will be narrowed to two lanes in the same area for a week from 7 a.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 23). DETOUR: Consider alternate routes or allow extra travel time while restrictions are in place.

Westbound US 60 (Grand Avenue) narrowed to one lane between 71st and 75th avenues from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 16-17) for maintenance work. DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to merge safely.
