ADOT to Host Public Meetings for study of improvements to State Route 260 between Heber and Show Low
April 28, 2008
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will host two informational meetings about
a study of potential improvements to State Route (SR) 260 from Columbia Lane in Heber to the SR 260/US 60 intersection in Show Low.
The first meeting will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Show Low
Library, 180 North 9th Street, Show Low, Arizona. The second will take place from 6 to
8 p.m., Tuesday, May 13 at the Mogollon High School, 3450 Mustang Avenue, Heber,
Arizona. The presentation will be the same at both locations.
The study will identify potential alternatives to improve traffic flow on SR 260 within the study area. The alternatives, such as constructing additional lanes and consolidating access points, will be evaluated for potential environmental, social, and economic impacts.
The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input on issues, concerns, and opportunities to be considered during the study. The comments received from this meeting will be used to help identify critical issues to be addressed in the development and evaluation of the alternatives.
The meeting will start with an open house to provide opportunity for attendees to view maps and graphics and speak to study team members. There will be a 15 minute presentation beginning at
6:30.
