Construction Alert: Lane Closures on Northbound and Southbound I-19 near Rio Rico and Nogales

April 8, 2008

Tucson, Arizona: The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will intermittently close lanes on northbound and southbound Interstate 19 near Rio Rico and Nogales from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting on Monday, April 14 and continuing through Friday, June 27. The lane closures will take place one mile north of Palo Parado Road and will extend south to Business Route 19 (Grand Avenue). Crews will be repaving sections of the roadway surface.

One lane in each direction will be open at all times and drivers can expect no delays.

Motorists are advised to watch for construction personnel and public safety officers and to obey all posted speed limit signs and detour routes while traveling through the construction area.
