To log in to the ADOT FTP site (in a specific directory given below) start by opening Window Explorer.
(Note: Not to be confused with Internet Explorer, Windows Explorer is for file management. It is available by clicking on My Computer on a PC. Mac users can use the information here with an FTP client like Fetch or Cyberduck.)
In Windows Explorer, type the following in the address bar to access the FTP site:
ftp://ftp.azdot.gov/
You will be prompted for your username and password. Log in.
The <username> and <password> , available to Toastmaster members, will give rights to change only documents in the leadership folder. These credentials are available to members only. (Contact Tim Owens for the user/password.)
Now you're in the FTP site, in the CapToast directory. You have READ-ONLY rights here. This means you can open files, but you cannot modify the files on the directory, nor can you upload new files.
However -- in the Leadership folder, you have WRITE privileges, so you can download files, make changes, and upload them to replace the existing files. You can also upload re-named files.
Click on the "Leadership" folder to open it. In this folder is the "Capitol Calendar.xls" spreadsheet. It is this file which appears when we click on the button on the website.
Note: As intended, the agenda is outside the 'leadership' folder, and is not available for general edits. Please contact Jamie, VP of Education, (or Len and Laverne as backups) for updates to the Agenda. )
The "Capitol Calendar.xls" spreadsheet is in the "Leadership" folder. Double-click on the folder to open it.
To make changes, click and drag a file to your desktop, open it, make the changes, and then drag it back so that it replaces the old file. It's also ok to make a backup by renaming the file before you copy it back.
