Laura Turiano, David Evans and Associates, gave for her tenth speech an inspiring talk titled “Choose Your Focus”. Laura discussed the belief that each of us has a choice in what we focus on in life. By focusing on what we want, we enrich our lives and the lives of others. With this speech, Laura becomes the latest Competent Communicator of the Capitol Toastmasters club.

Sarker Rahman, ADOT Contract and Specifications, spoke on “What we should value most in our life and why?” He organized his speech by breaking life into different aspects and prioritizing them using humor and logic.

Asad Karim, ADOT Predesign, gave a speech titled “A Few Steps to be Successful in Life.” Asad discussed the different characteristics that any individual should have to be successful in life. He gave several examples of successful people and showed why and how these people were successful in life.

The winner will move on to the area level contest which will be held in Downtown,
Phoenix on February 28, 2009.
