Empire Group, LLC (2007 - Present) - After successfully developing projects on his own behalf, Mr. Schwartz returned to the Empire Group to serve in his former role as the Acquisition and Development Director. His ability to overcome governmental agency issues and neighborhood opposition through a proactive, hands-on approach has allowed the company to seek a wider variety of development opportunities.
The Schwartz Group (2003 - 2007) - Led by Jeffrey A. Schwartz, a long-time participant in the Valley's residential development community with over 15 years experience in the acquisition, development and sales of residential parcels of land in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. During this period, Mr. Schwartz, acted as a consultant on the design, construction and sale of the residential component of Kierland Commons, formed and managed several syndicated investments, and assembled a 450 acre Master Planned Community, Mesquite Mountain Ranch, in Surprise, Arizona, which was subsequently sold to Taylor Woodrow Homes.
Empire Group, LLC (1995 - 2003) - Mr. Schwartz served as Acquisition and Development Director for The Empire Group, LLC in Scottsdale, AZ, where he played an integral roled in the acquisition planning and/or development of a number of high-profile and successful residential communities including; The Sanctuary at Foothills, The Communities at White Peak, Western Farms, Western Crossings, Andorra and Sterling Place.
Becker Homes (1992 - 1995) - Mr. Schwartz served as Manager of Acquisitions and Development for Becker Homes where he was responsible for the acquisition and development of La Villita townhome community in Scottsdale and Rancho Mirage Estates in Glendale, Arizona.
Monterey Homes (1988 - 1991) - Mr. Schwartz worked with Monterey Homes and served as Assistant Project Manager on its Monterey on Mountain View project in which he helped with the acquisition of the land and negotiated and secure construction contracts, performed cost analysis, and assisted in coordinating all preconstruction activities. In addition, Mr. Schwartz served as company liaison between municipalities and utility companies for all phases of development and construction, researched land, performed market and financial analysis and secured parcels of land for luxury home communities.
Mr. Schwartz received a Bachelor of Science, Sociology degree from Arizona State University in 1989 and holds an Arizona Real Estate Brokers License. He has served on the City of Scottsdale Transportation Commission, is a current member of the City of Scottsdale Planning Commission, a current member of the Citizen's Transportation Oversight Committee and a former board member of the Anti Defamation League.
