Nelson Ladd, Maricopa County District 3

Brief Background History

Nelson S. Ladd has been a resident of Maricopa County for the past 42 years.  He is a retired Physicist an Apartment Developer.  Mr. Ladd was born an educated in Kansas. Mr. Ladd was drafted in the Korean conflict in 1952 spending 15 months overseas as a combat engineer.  After the war Mr. Ladd took advantage of the G. I. Bill and continued his education receiving a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Physics from the University of Wichita.  After teaching Physics as an Instructor at the University of Wichita for one year, in 1963, Mr. Ladd received a scholarship from Arizona State University to pursue advanced studies in Physics.  After one year he decided to go to work at Goodyear Aerospace and continued there for 25 years of continuous service.  Mr. Ladd has been semi-retired since 1989 and works only on his own property management and real estate transactions.

:


Retired August 1, 1989 after 25 years of continuous service as a Senior Physicist from Loral Defense Systems (formally Goodyear Aerospace).

President of Nova West Land and Development Co. Inc., a small investment and property management company he founded in 1982.

Served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer of  Lakeview Condominium Homeowners Association for 5 years.


Hobbies:

Computer Enthusiast enjoys working with grandson and friends on computers.
Enjoys Travel and boating both motor and sailing.
Avid ASU football fan and was a Guardian Angel for 20 plus years.
Enjoys Music, Plays, Phoenix Symphony and studies in American History.
Likes to modify and repair things that do not work.
