  • Constructing concrete floors underneath the existing bridges to improve the foundation of both bridges.
  • Replacing the existing bridge railings with new bridge barriers.
  • Installing new guardrails.

Project Schedule

Construction is anticipated to start in fall 2023 and be completed in early spring 2024.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.

What to Expect During Construction

Traffic restrictions will be limited to daytime hours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday to minimize traffic impacts.

  • The bridges will be periodically reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing traffic through the workzone.
  • Drivers should be prepared to slow down when approaching and while in the work zone and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the restrictions are in place.

ADOT will provide more information about project schedules and traffic impacts once the project begins. Stay informed of traffic restrictions before they occur by visiting ADOT’s main page for this project and selecting "Subscribe for Updates."
