Overview
The Arizona Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Navajo Nation, has initiated a project located at the intersection of US 160 and Indian Route 21. Work will be completed at the intersection and along US 160 and IR 21 between mileposts 342-344.
The proposed work consists of installing new signs, rumble strips, and other related work.
The project, located about 20 miles northeast of Tuba City, is scheduled to start this fall and be completed in spring 2024.
What to Expect
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. The contractor also has the discretion to work Fridays, as needed, from 7 a.m. to noon. No work is anticipated on weekends or holidays.
US 160 and IR 21 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane in the project area as crews complete the work. On-site flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
ADOT advises drivers to plan for possible delays while the work is underway.
